The Bottle Rockets formed in 1993 and quickly rose to prominence in the field of "Americana/Alternative Country" music by creating uniquely crafted songs about "everyday life." "The Greatest Bar Band in America," as the press early in their career called them, although intended as a compliment, actually led to many misconceptions about the band. Often times inaccurately labeled as simply a "loud, good-time, party" band, the Bottle Rockets are, and always have been about writing good songs. 2006 will bring a new release on Chicago based label, Bloodshot Records.
