Harry Shearer & Friends

"Songs of the Bushmen" is a satirical salute to the men (and women) who worked for and with George W. Bush, written and performed by Grammy-nominated musical satirist Harry Shearer. In the same eclectic style as his nominated CD ("Songs Pointed and Pointless"), Shearer presents a cool jazzy ballad about Scooter Libby (Dick Cheney's right-hand man who helped out Valerie Plame), a raucous rock salute to Paul Wolfowitz, one of the architects of the Iraq War, and a plaintive Western ditty about Karen Hughes, Bush's longtime aide who had the easy job of making the Arab world like America. Dick Cheney, Condi Rice, Don Rumsfeld, even Karl Rove - they're all here, serenaded and savaged.
